Default RC4WD radios..anybody using

Any body have any experience with the RC4WD radios?

Looking at the XR4 4channel in perticular

Pros/cons vs other radios. Seems to be a good looking radio for the price, but looks can be deceiving.

it has very limited programming for aux channels. What are you looking to do with it, whats your budget?

For a scaler you can't go wrong for the price. It has a cheap feel to it and limited functionality, but it gets the job done. Have not had any issues thus far.

Gonna use it for a Honcho. Around $100 or under seeing as how it's just be for the Honcho. The toggle switch for the winch would be real handy.

...I think it works great for what it is. Put it in my slash and ran it up and down the block..maybe 3/8 of a mile and NO glitching.

yes the 3rd and 4th channel has ZERO programing end points. But there are devices out there that will help. it has 15 model programming..any way I really like mine.

there is the other radio that has a buzz about it..also thought about getting that, but only has 3 channels. needed 4 for the scaler. I also run mine with my crawler with R2 and dig, no problems. besides 30 bucks for a receiver.

I have the big offroader radio which apparently has been discontinued but the orange rc4wd rx's work with it. Got the radio with a couple rx's, then needed another and thought about switching to gt/hk3b then found a seller in the classifieds with 2 rx's for way cheap. I'm still trying to find a reason to get a diff radio but don't have one, i never put the antenna up even with my go fast rigs and have never had one range issue. More than i can say about my buddies with speks haha

I have the XR 4 radio and I use it on both my Hilux and SCT truck and it works great for both, I have not had ANY issues thus far, except the batteries die quicker than I like

I'm willing to say that will probably be the radio that I get unless I run across a good deal on something used. Gonna have to stick it out with the ol traxxas for now until I get the funds though.

Have you looked into the flysky gt3b...with a quick flash of the firmware you can have up to 6 channels, dual esc and 4ws mixing.

I have looked into a couple of the flysky models, but have got mixed reviews on them. So I was just researching some different brands/types.
