Picked up this SWEET looking servo last week and but yet to install it. quick run down spec wise looks decent.. Modulation: Digital Torque: 4.8V:166.0 oz-in (11.95 kg-cm) 6.0V:200.0 oz-in (14.40 kg-cm) Speed: 4.8V:0.20 sec/60° Weight: 2.65 oz (75.0 g) Length: 1.58 in (40.2 mm) Width: 0.79 in (20.1 mm) Height: 1.45 in (36.8 mm) Motor Type: Coreless Gear Type: Metal Rotation/Support: Dual Bearings Wondering if any other members are running them or have in the past, and if they have had any issues I should be aware of!? Plan is for it to go into the 2.2. I seem to be destroying the cheaper Tower 959's(siezing? burning out motors?) so figured this would make a reasonable replacement. Main question I have.. should I run some kind of servo saver?! or am I just going to be wasting turning strength!? If it all turns sour and it turns into another dud.. least it will make a Wicked looking paper weight TIA. Sp33d Last edited by Foolsp33d; 06-18-2011 at 09:01 PM. |

Or at least an awesome servo case with which to rebuild other parts in! Been wondering about it. Keep us updated

Nice man, I'm going to have to check on out. I have been burning up the Tower Pro's as well! I've gone through 4 of them in my 1/8 buggy (electric) this season and in every one of them the gears were stripped. I don't mind running cheap china servos but I've gotten to the point where I see the value in buying a $100 servo. I do want to try one of these Turnigy servo's though. How much was it? |

I never tried one of these, so I don't know. 1-It looks cool 2-Having 200oz @ 6VDC is too low in my book for a 2.2 rig.....I would do a HiTec 7955TG at a minimum. Even for cheap servos, killing a few of them, plus crawling time lost, adds up quick to getting a single better servo to start with. |
