Your issue is that the micro pro dosent work with two motors.
Or you dont have it calibrated nor programmed via castle link.

Well, I havent seen one person run 1 Mamba micro pro on a 2.2 moa yet, till now. Castle warrenty is void once you put one 550 can on that esc. Or do you have the mamba max pro?

Dude, Idk I run dual micro pros. Maybe you saw MMP in his specs that meant Mamba max pro. Idk, I will dig around for you. I'm just stating facts.

EDIT: Everyone that has ran micro pros, runs dual esc with either a novak dig, 4pk, 4pl, wantasummit adaptor, and I believe thats it.

The punkdig dose do that, but the micro pro is a 1/18scale esc. It can handle one motor, but usually fry when hooked to two motors. I think your safe, because of the fact you have 55t motors. Did the esc give you any beeps when you turned it on the first time. Id like to help you figure this out.

They come from the factory in brushless mode, that is why it isent working.
If you got a castle link program it that way, also upload the new firmware for it. That way you can have crawler dragbrake and crawler reverse

micro pros arent rated for two 540 motors. iam running 2 cc micro sidewinders in my xr and its an amazing setup but you have to have 2 of them. like Jeepkid said. its an 1/18th scale esc. get another one and you will be set.

what radio are you running?

With a single Micro Pro ESC? Maybe, until you let the smoke out.
Either get a bigger ESC (rated to run 2 540 motors) or a 2nd Micro Pro & run dual ESC's (1/motor).
Also, did you check to see if it's still in brushless mode??

You can use the DX3E with the wantasummit mix control...it's just $40 and works great...losikid sells them here in the vendors section

You will most likely burn the single esc up if you were able to get it programmed correctly and run it on 2 motors.
