Default ae1 reverse is slow!

So i'm running the ae1 esc and a 55t motor, and it seems as if reverse is dying. the more I use reverse the slower it gets in reverse. Forward speed is same as it has been. I have pulled the motor and checked the brushes and wires, everything seems to be fine. I'm thinking it might be the esc its self. what do you guys think?

Have you looked at TX settings? It's possible a setting (EPA?) is getting moved.
Did you check to see if the motor endbell is moving (changing timing)?
