Thumbs down Q about ESC's...

I have a GEcko II Clod with dual Mabuchis on it and am thinking of gettin' a pair of 55T Integy's... I know I can use a Super Rooster or EVX or Novak XR, but, are there any other ESC's I can use? I've read ppl using regular Roosters and someone's tryin' to tell me to use dual ESC's with a Y or get a mid-range ESC and just drop it in... Is this true? Could I use one with say a 10t limit and have it work with dual Mab's or lathe motors? I don't want to spend $200 on an ESC when it's not gonna get anywhere near the levels it was intended for...

This may have been asked already, I don't know... But... Thanks in advance guys...

I am moving this to electronics.

The most important thing about whether or not a speed control will work is the BEC rating. The Super Rooster and Super Duty are rated at 3.0 amps, the Rooster is rated at 0.5 amps, the Rebel2 is rated at 5 amps.

Turning big tires on rocks puts alot of load on the steering servo, which is fed by the BEC.

If you dont want to use a receiver pack then get a SR, SD, or Rebel2.

If you don't mind running a receiver pack then pretty much any ESC can handle the lathe motors.

No, I don't mind running an RX pack.. I have an 1100 Venom pack here... I'm more worried about what I have now for motors.. Mabuchi silver cans... ESC is the priority here...
