Thanks for the input.

So I'll go with 16g. I already have some at home since this is what I was going to use.

The battery plugs I use are the XT60 (because they came standard with the turnigy) and are only 1 or 2gr heavier than the deans. I can live with 2 more gr, because I'm cheap!

FXR is in the mail. It says it comes with 12ga wire. Should I not use that and go with 14ga?

Other than:
Slight weight penalty
Slightly more weight
Less flexible
There is nothing wrong with a heavier gage wire. It will help performance under max load, but in a crawler may not show the difference.
Wire sizing is based on:
Expected amp load
Length of wire

If you have a high amp load and/or long wire runs, you need to up the wire size (smaller wire gage #).
