Take a look at the FXR manual, it talks about setting the voltage cutoff in the "quicktune" section.

when i got my fxr and brood in my ax10 there was no way around it I had to use the hotwire out of the box,not only for the voltage setting but the throttle and brake profile had to be adjusted as well as the drag brake and brake strength.

I highly recommend getting a hotwire, its just the easiest fastest hassle free way to go IMO,the pit tune is a PITA!!! especially if it has to be mounted in a place where the buttons are hard or impossible to reach.

Pit tuning is not that bad a hotwire would make things a lot easier for you I did a full set up for drag brake and lipo cut off in about 5 mins.. its easiest to set everything and then install. It only makes sense. But answer ur ? No its not set out of the box. And to keep ur esc cool run an external bec for your servo.. makes a world of difference

I believe the default setting is no voltage cutoff. You can change it without hotwire. Instructions in your manual.

You only need the Hotwire if you plan to use custom Voltage cutoffs like 3.1V, 3.2V, etc per cell.

You can set the cutoff without the Hotwire to 1) no cutoff, 2) 2 cell 6V, 3) 3 cell 9V.

It's all in the manual and on line.
