Default 3 or 4s

I currently have a 9.6 nimh with a 45 turn 24° stock motor can,
I am looking for a liitle more wheel speed. What combination should I get, a 45t 3s or a 55t 4s or some other combination. I'm running a typical ax 10 modded, I bash but would like to maybe try a comp in the future.

I know for a fact you don't run that in your comp rig. An AX-10 based comp rig is what he is asking advice for.

A 3S with a 35 or 45 turn would suit you well. The 3S with a 35 is a very popular combination. That is what I use to run in my shafty. Run either 3 or 4S in my Berg on 35's now and a 5S on a 55 turn in my TLT hybrid.

Will 35t on 3s have enough torque, Ilike to torque out of binds. I was thinking 45t on 3s, but 4s is only $5 more per pack @ hobbypartz. I need a new motor now with lipos to come later.

get the torquemaster 35t motor from holmes hobbies and you will have all the torque you need with 3s.

A handwound 35t makes enough torque to break every stock part left on the truck, more torque than a machine wound 45t with extra speed to boot.
