Default RC4WD XR4 4-Channel 3-4CH winch ????

I just recieved my remote last night and i really like it and it works well. But im having a problem when it comes to my winch. Ill start off with how i have my winch hooked up. I took apart a servo and de soldered the little motor in there and re soldered the wires coming off my winch motor. Then i just plug the servo up like normal and it worked fine on my old stick radio. when you pushed it forward it came out then push it down and it retracked in and at the neutral position the winch stopped. But now when i plug up my winch setup in the new rc4wd remote on both 3 and 4 ch. It ravels and unravels on both channels and in all positions of the switch (3 position) and it wont stop till i unplug it from the reciever.

Switch positions
UP------ reals out
center-- reals out
down--- Reals in

Please help

Thanks
Ryan

Did you try setting the neutral trim for that channel on the TX?
Did you happen to switch any wires from the servo when you made the radio change?
Is the black or brown servo wire towards the outside edge of the RX?

You mentioned that your winch would work properly when plugged into your old stick radio.
Hook things up to the stick radio and move the stick so that the winch stops. Now plug a servo in place of the winch and note what position it goes to. This is where "Neutral" is for your winch. Plug that servo into the other radio and adjust your trims so that you get that "Neutral" set properly. Plug in your winch and you should be good.

If that all gets frustrating, check the link in my sig. I make replacement winch controllers.

heyok I read your trhead for your new winch controller. Pretty cool While i was working on my rig yesterday and accidently turned the remote off first before my jeep is cuased my jeep to shoot across my work bench. Well in trying to get that back under control i guess one of the wires to the servo broke. Im going to take apart another servo and find center on it with the new remote and im hopeing that will work. I did hook up another servo and it does work properly with the 3 way switch. but if i cant get that to work it looks like i will be sending paypal your way Heyok
