Default Futaba 4PL Ease of Use?

Looking into Futaba once again since my DX3S has been bugging out on me a lot lately. Losing calibration with the ESC on every rig that I have!! Also the trim buttons don't work the way they're supposed to.

Eventually I'll be running MOA...so I figure first things first is to get a better radio and to try setting up dig on my AX10. How hard is it to program 3 position on the 4PL?

I read Harley's post on the 4PL to setup dig. Seems easy. So once the dig is setup are the they 3 position like on the DX3R?

So easy a cave man could do it...

I too came from a 3R and like the 4PL more in every way.

You can also overdrive front or rear, not just front/rear dig.

Not been crawling long but this radio definately made a big difference to my love of the hobby

My son, asw27x, is running a 4PL. He 1st had it on a Creeper, now on a MOA Bully & MRC 1.9.
Easy to set-up, great to use. Tons better than his modded Traxxis radio and better than my Futaba 3PM-x (4 channel vs. 3 channel, duh).
Easy to swap between rigs quickly. I wish I had bought the 4PL instead of the 3PM-x, then again, I don't think the 4PL was out yet, thus only the 4PK which is a ton more $$.

Do it, you'll be happy!

Alex, it's so easy you could do it in your sleep.

I had mine programmed in less than a minute following Harley's instructions. Nice thing is that you can actually move the 3 channel dig switch position around to different switches as to be most comfortable for you.

4PL is super easy to setup and use. It has enough options to do anything you would want, but not so many that is will confuse you.
And, if you follow Harleys setup guide you will be driving in less time than it takes you to get it out of the box.

4PL=WINNING!!

The feel of the radio is a nice, a big improvement over any Spektrum product, the steering and throttle are super smoooooth. I'll neve go back to my DX3R.

After weeks of deliberating and codgitating, I finally plucked up the courage and ordered a 4pl. It came today, and I am looking forward to getting it set up and using it

Awesome! Good to hear. There is plenty of support on the RCC board to help you out if needed which is a huge plus also.
