Default Futaba S9157 servo getting hot?

I have had this servo for a while in my Berg and now when i take it to my local crawl spots the servo starts to get hot, almost untouchable. Even when im just driving around on flat ground. I'm running the CKRC BTA steering which i know dosnt use the whole power of the servo effectivly.

Is it my servo? Or the steering?

Try disconnecting the servo arm and see if the steering has any binding.
Also, did you check your steering EPA's? If not set correctly, you stall & overheat the servo when giving full steering.

This isn't a high voltage servo either. The max voltage I'd run through it is about 6.5v.

Your battery doesn't control the voltage directly. Your BEC does.

these servos are prob the best ive ever run, i am not nice to them either. most likely u may have some binding in steering. my one servo gets hot but still works..

I have been known to put 8v+ through them w/o a problem <---not recomended
