If they aren't 540 size then they aren't going to bolt up. And are they rebuildable? Probably not. If you are going to buy a conversion then you need some serious power for the losi. Like two brushless or pullers

they are way way bigger than 540 and i dont think power would be an issue just not sure if the weight would be an issue here are the specs on the motor Mabuchi Performance Model RS-775WC-8514 Operating v : 6v - 20v Nominal v : 18v No Load RPM : 19500 No Load A : 2.7A Stall Torque : 1216 mN-m Stall Current : 130A RPM - Peak Eff : 17040 Torque - Peak Eff : 153 mN-m Current - Peak Eff : 18.7A Last edited by thundaar; 07-13-2011 at 06:30 PM. |

not an electric motor guru at all in anyway.... But if you can mount them and provide the needed juice.... i honestly do NOT see any issues with them running losi worms. Power? have you had an electric drill in your hand when it bites?? Torque? plenty.... its a drill for god sake.... weight? i see that taking the only drawback next to size itself. If i had the resources and the spare time to mount them.... i do it too Go for it! P.S. this may come to post a bit later.... but i know there are a few guru's when it comes to electric motors on here. Id ask Brood and Holmes about the power these motors need to make the numbers you have listed. maybe even butcher the speedo out of the drill some how. i don no |

I dont have any experience w/ the 19v but I am running a Mabuchi motor from a 15.6v drill in my super heavy scaler and its smooth like butter and gobs of torque. it was a PITA to get the pinion gear that the motor came with off but once that was done and a flat spot ground onto the motor shaft its been all good since then! and I'm waiting on a 14.4v DeWalt for my Summit as well

People have used them before....last time I tried to talk someone out of using a motor not meant for the application, it didn't end so well... I will say this, the Losi is very hard on motors. Rebuilds are pretty common on brushed motors in them, can you rebuild these? So, by all means have fun......never hurts to try I guess. Later EddieO |
