Default Electronics on motors?

I read some references to people velcroing escs directly to moa motors. Which gets me to wondering:

Do any of the electronic pieces have problems with close proximity to each other? Like does the receiver need to be off by itself a little ways etc?

I'm trying to lay out electronics placement on an XR10 with as much as possible on the front axle and what won't fit on the rear axle. Empty chassis.

If you have a 2.4ghz radio, spacing from the ESC or motor is not as critical for the RX. If you're running an AM or FM radio, it IS an issue.

For the weight, I wouldn't get too nuts on placement, especially for the RX. I would be more concerned what would happen if it dropped off a rock and landed on expensive electronics.

4PL. It's not just the weight -- I want to play with unusual DIY chassis and I have a lot more flexibility if they don't need to provide mounting bays. But you're right, it's not mandatory.
