| EZRun 25a Esc
I am not seeing much when I search for it, So what are the opinions on this esc. I currently run 2 xl-5's, and want an upgrade. I thought that 2 of these would be good. Opinions? http://www.hobbypartz.com/ezrun-25a-...or-rc-car.html |

I guess the questions are: -Is this a comp rig or for fun? -What kind of rig is it? -What battery are you running? (LiPO 1S, 2S, 3S or 4S)? |

Also be aware that is a brushless ESC, unless you already have motors you'll have to buy those too.

Edit: someone beat me to this point It does not say this esc is brushed, so that might be an issue depending what motor your looking into. |

So can all brushless esc's run a brushed motor with the middle wire removed? Thanks |

Only if they have programming that allows them to. It's not as simple as just the wires. Brushed and Brushless ESC's work very differently from one another.

Ok next question. Is it possible to put brushless motors in a bully? Much like this one? http://www.hobbypartz.com/ezrun-craw...ess-motor.html Last edited by major94; 07-31-2011 at 07:26 PM. |

in all likelihood you will want to run a sensored brushless motor as it will help with low speed cogging. Any particular reason you want to go with the hobbypartz motor and esc's? Is it just because of price?

Sensored is the best way for a crawler though.

I have some 35t motors Im buying from a friend. I was thinking now about the integy C23900, but it says the input voltage is 7.2v. So I think 2s lipo would fry them. I wanted to run 2 on my truck, will they be fried from .2 more volts?

I do have a mamba max. The old one, I got in a trade, but I cant afford another one. Could I buy like a micro sidewinder and run it on one axle and the mamba max on the other? Or would it run goofy? |

what about a couple used sidewinders or use your mamba max with a punk dig? Going MOA isn't cheap thats for sure.

I'd say find another regular mamba max. They are in the classifieds every week from $40-$50. PM me my friend might have one for $50. In my opinion if you change over to brushless un-sensored you are downgrading because your rig is going to be jumpy at slow speeds(crawling speeds) So get another mamba max and your integy motors will be fine on 2s.

Getting the second mamba is your best bet at this point. Going cheap on those other brushless products will only lead to heartache.
