| Flysky GT3B reveiver voltage?
I was curious if anybody had any idea what the max voltage that can be ran through the Flysky GT3B 3ch receivers is, I have been trying to figure it out but haven't been able to find anything. I suppose I could just experiment and see when one fries since it is only $8, but I would rather not have to do that if possible. |

I know the HK receivers will work with the GT3B, but are they the exact receivers rebadged?

Hmm, I hooked it up to one of my BEC's that is set at 7.2v to test and been running it for a while tonight and it seems to be just fine. I decided to email Hobbypartz also to see what they have to say.

Been talking with heyok about his winch controllers, I guess there have been a few issues with people running them from different power supplies than the receivers, powering straight from the receiver there is no issue so that is what he recommends. I want to run higher voltage than 6v, so I'm trying to figure out if I can safely do it with through the receiver or not.

I run these receivers in my Micro T and Micro rally cars. straight 2s lipo, no bec. Been running for 2 years or so. A full charged lipo can see 8 volts when first used. |

I have used 7.4 with no problems.

Awesome, thanks guys. 7.4v is the minimum I want to run for the winch, so that will at least be a good starting point. |

As of right now i'm not going to back up these results, but best i can come up with is 12 volts. I believe its using a voltage regulator from this line up... http://www.datasheetarchive.com/inde...DSA0041807.pdf I'll test it out soon, I'll make an adapter from my esc's and servo to all power within themselves then i'll hook up a 3s lipo to the rx that's charge is just below 12volts and see if it lasts...i'm not afraid to burn up 10 bucks (i've burnt up alot more), it'll just give me a reason to upgrade the volt reg |

| I have some very hard comp time on mine this way also and it is working flawless. On a side note I did a bench test when I got my Mks hv-300 and ran a 3s lipo through it and its still alive also. It did seen to have a random glitch with the 12v+ of the lipo though. Every couple minutes it did a weird twitch that I haven't seen at 7.4

It will not do the 12v. Or at least the one I had would not. I had a bad cc bec putting anywhere from 8v-12v depending on the mood it was in when I turned it on. It lasted a few runs in my slash... I woundered why the steering was so much better lol, I did not catch it untill it fried my rx. mine also had some twitching before it fried. |

if you are powering from an external BEC or receiver pack however you can up the voltage. that being said Ive only powered the 3ch and 6ch RX's with CC BEC set @ 6v but Im curious to go higher I was curious about running more power for the same reason, I have one of the new high voltage winch controllers on the way | |

I know that I am resurrecting the dead here, but did anyone get an answer to the original question?

| Re: Flysky GT3B reveiver voltage? I only run mine off the BEC @6v but I believe losikid said in the hacked GT3B thread he has successfully ran 7.2 without issues. you may want to ask there to be sure

I know this is a slightly old thread but why aren't any of you who are scared of running over 6 volt just building a pigtail jumper sending bec power and ground straight to servo and jumping in control wire from receiver to servo? Leaving power wire to esc.... Letting it run its own regulated power and bec to control only servo power levels..... I build my own plugs and pigtails to do all of this...... Front and rear servos @ 7.4 and winch @ 9 volt
