Default Dual ESC questions?????

I'm going to switch from my M2 dig to a dual micro pro setup soon in my XR10, and I'm wondering if I'm able to set it up with a Futaba 4PL or a DX3R so I don't have to run a novak dig unit. I'm all new to the mixing and stuff.

Thanks in advance for your help!

With the 4PL, yes, you can do mixing, etc through the radio and get rid of the dig.
This is what my son runs on his 2.2 Bully, 4PL, dual ESC's.

Will running two ESCs allow the user to switch between front and rear wheel drive?

Yes, as long as you have the proper radio/programming to do so.

A 4pl would also work or a twin stick radio

Yes a 4pl will handle dual esc's fine...it'll give you dig and bias

No the DX3R won't...unless you buy the wantamix, with the wantamix you'll have dig and bias

3pk and 4pk(s) are allso good options, gives you dig and bias

The Flysky GT3B with upgraded firmware also offers excellent dual esc control, and at a fraction of the price other radios cost.

Check out the first page of this thread: Futaba 4PL Setup, Tips, Tricks & Help

I have step by step videos of how to program the radio as well as wiring diagrams on how to install everything. If you have any questions feel free to post in that thread and I'll get you an answer ASAP.

I've got a pretty long thread about it....GT3B Hack Tech Thread

Anyways to re flash the firmware all it requires is a few screws to be removed, 4 solder joints, plugging the radio into the computer, and pressing program.

This will give you up to 8ch's, 2-200 pos switches, 2-8 true position switches, dual esc mixing, 4ws mixing, and much more. The ultimate scaler/basher radio and it'll hold its own comp wise. Its not as comfortable as lets say a futaba, or as intuitive to program as the futaba, and it runs a a 22ms frame rate, so its not quite as fast as the higher end 2.4 technology, but it has alot of features to allow you to do what ever you want for less than $100
