Default HolmesHobbies cobalt454

I'm looking to get 2 cobalt 454 pullers for the xr10. Yeah its overpowered. Blah blah I hear it all the time.
I will be running HH BRXL.
Motors are the HH CP 454-141 model. Are these ok ran on 2s 30c lipo?
Thanks ahead of time.

I would think so.. I'm sure they're probably good up to 3S. Holmes makes some really nice stuff. I have 3 of his motors.

The higher turn arms are good on 2s and 3s. The lower turn ones like a 10t and below (454 size) don't like 3s.

Ok. I had talked to you about those cobalt 7t's. I realized it was gonna be a bit much for the xr10. Although it would be awesome. I'm thinking of the 16t pullers. I'm sure they'll still have good wheelspeed. All I'll be running is 2s anyways.

If you're running a 2.2 or Super rig, 2S won't be enough VERY soon for a 16T brushed. Trust me.
Start planning on what handles 3S.....

I've got a butt load of 2s batteries( I don't plan on buying any 3s anytime soon. I don't wanna tear a bunch of stuff up running my xr. I know I already have to upgrade a few things. Gearcase, gears, not sure what else.

What size pinion would you guys recommend running? I have the stock 14Ts that came with the xr kit.
