| Brushed or Brushless????
I'm going to pic up a AXIAL Honcho kit this Friday and I'm not sure what to use for a motor. The two choices in stock at the store were I'm getting the kit are a Novak 2cell Goat with 18.5 Brushless, or the Novak Rooster Crawler and 45 or 55 turn motor. Looking for your input.....

If your wanting to build a crawler then I vote brushed but if ur wanting to build a rock basher/racer then u could go brushless but keep in mind that they need more maintenance an harder on drivetrain parts bc of the power they make.

Check out my build thread. I've got a brushless setup in mine. Summit tranny too. Its awesome setup. Plenty torque for crawling too. Tbolt meatclaws-talkatap |

If the goat`s motor get`s too smell water it will throw a wobbly, as will its ESC. The rooster doesnt like water, but put the rooster ESC in a waterproof box. The brushed motor will work better in or near water. Last edited by igbandy; 08-10-2011 at 01:57 PM. |
