| Notching an Axial 27T
Has anyone done this to the rear of the motor? Would this screw with the motor's internals/harmonics (assuming I didn't obviously cut off something important ) I'd like to take a little notch out of the rear so it will fit in the chassis till I find a suitable 35/45/55 turn.... |

I assume you mean notch the motor can? How much of the can do you need to cut, or, endbell??

Try to keep vibrations down and don't get the can hot as it WILL hurt the magnets. Cutting the can will affect the performance of the motor, but likely not enough to notice. I would let JRH or EddieO comment though, they know better than I would. |
