Default More acceleration?

Hello. I have a SCX standard with a 27T in 3S but I need more acceleration to jump some stones (yes, I have to jump because my place has a lot of rocks!) So I thought I have to change the 27T for a 45T, for thus the loss of some speed, but I get more torque, that is more acceleration to jump from the end of the stones.
Is this right?

Thanks!

PS: my place has a lot of rocks that I can climb with my SCX but usually these stones end up with about a vertical height of 1 or 2 feet (30-50cm) so I need to jump this little cliff to go down!!

you could try gearing down, and get a 35T motor. this way you get torque, as well as having almost identical speeds.

Try a larger pinion for speed...

A 27t will pretty much always blow away in a 45t in power.

While RPM and Torque matter, power is power.........if you want more oomph, uses a lower turn motor and adjust your gearing.

Get a better battery. If the battery can't supply the amps the motor wants, then it will be sluggish/slow.

If you are already running 3s, a 35t properly geared will do what you want.

Your logic isn't flawed, if you switched to a 45t the acceleration would be better, but the speed would be lacking and you would not get any airtime. a 35t on 3s will get you airtime and wheel spin while still having enough torque to crawl.

I bet the 27t stalls a lot and never reaches full speed? You will have less or none of that with a 35t and all the speed it puts out can be used.

Gear down, volt up.

Put the 27-turn back in, gear down and add more power.
