| DX3E issue..need some help
I have a DX3E and I am having some issues with it. Yes. I called Horizon but I didn't have an hour to wait for the truly excellent customer service they provide. I actually have 2 xr10's set-up the excat same way. One is having issues and one is not. The DX3E has already been warrentied and it is still doing the same thing. Set-up...XR10, holmes 45t motors, Tekin FXR, Castle BEC, Punk dig. After I bind, the radio works fine for about 1-2 minutes. Then it will just quit...almost like a loss of power and the steering gets really weak. If you wait a few mintues, it will start working again and then fail again. I've heard of brown-out? or Black-out? but I'm not sure what to do about it. Yes, I swapped radios and receivers from each vehicle...the problem follows the receiver/radio. The tekin is flashing low voltage signal form radio. Thank you for the help, hopefully I explained it well enough. |

ok..does it go to your Rx..or the servo...in other words...does the bec power the Rx or does the esc power the Rx and the bec only powers the servo?

| sounds like an Rx problem..try binding a different radio to the same Rx and see if it follows the radio...then try the other Rx with your first Tx...narrow it down to the radio or the receiver...if you havent already.

this may sound goofy but you might just need to change the batteries on your dx3e. They seem to act up when the batteries are low. If you don't have a bright bright solid green light then try changing them and see if that helps. I've seen a few guys start to have problems only to find it was just weak batteries.
