Default need a cheap 2.4 system

right now im running a very old hitec lynx am remote and reciever and i dont get very good range(5-10 feet). i found a cheap fly sky 3ch system on nitrorcx for $35. are fly sky good systems. i like it because it has a lcd screen, 3ch remote and reciever, 10 model memory, 2.4ghz. it will be used in mostly my losi night crawler that i will later on add dig. is it ok for what im doing and is this fly sky a good product?

here the link to remote im talking about:

I have to say the GT3B with the firmware hack has been one of the best bang for buck deals Ive had in the RC hobby so far.

$35 radio, $25 firmware hack kit from LosiKid to get 5 more channels and tons of features. the 3,6,& 8ch Rxs cost between $8 and $15

cant go wrong

You will need the hack kit...in stock form the gt3b doesn't have a 3 position switch that controls channel 3.

fly systems are very good IMO and pretty par.. if your just the avid rcer, the fly sky will be good enough. Ive seen these at my local track, and they feel like a futaba, just a bit cheaper feeling to them.

While I'm not using the GT3B, i am using the GT3. Its been awesome for the price, I have had one bad RX, no biggie as they're dirt cheap. During an attempt at a roll over recovery, I got a little aggressive with rocking the trigger to and fro, I put a little too much lateral pressure and ended up snapping the trigger inside the handle where it attaches to the pot. When I opened it up, I realized that the trigger isn't supported all that well, so I use caution now. Nitrorcx sent me a replacement within 5 days, excellent response time to my emails also

Love mine. I have owned it for around a year and it has been good to me. Just did the hack kit and upgraded the software about a month ago and now it does everything I need! Run crawler, slash, and emaxx off of it.

I just ordered the GT3B yesterday. Picked up an extra receiver as well.

For a Radio and 2 receivers, I paid around 47 with shipping, which IMO is a steal for any hobby grade radio, much less one with an easy to read LCD screen and the capability to become much better with just 25 extra dollars and some soldering skill.

Doesnt appear to have shipped out yet, but Im expecting it to come in next week. If you still havent decided by then I'll let you know how my experience is with it.
