How much are you looking to spend? "Decent" servos can be between $25-100

Hobby People Hp-D66MHV servo, $49 on sale. 222oz-in. @ 7.4 volts. If you can't find it on sale ($69 normal), go with Savox or Hitech. They both make good servos for $70 to $100.

Hi-tec 645mg is good for an scx-10 with 1.9s on it.I run one on my 1.9 scx.On my 2.2 Honcho I roll a JR 8711 so I can move the rocks out of my way with the front tires. |

Hitec HS-985MG looks like a good fit. 172 oz/in @6v .13 sec @60 degrees $80 Hitec HS-645MG is also good but less powerful and slow 133 oz/in @6v .20 sec @60 degrees $32 I have a 645 in my scx-10 and it is a bit slow for me but for the price it is a good value. I bought some cheap Chinese servos to test out, hopefully they work well. T-Pro MG946R 166 oz/in not sure on the voltage .20 sec @60 deg 4.8v $12 It is rated to work up to 7.2v so if we estimate up to 6v from 4.8v it would be something like 207 oz/in .16 sec @60 deg Still just $12 Should be here in a couple days, I was planning on using them for servo winches but I can throw one in my scx-10 and see how it does. If it does good I may buy a couple more. |

I went with the Hitec 7950TH. It runs around 150 (got it on sale at 125) Its a bit out of your price range, but it includes an aluminum servo horn (10-20 dollars) and has a huge amount of torque (around 486 oz! at 7.4v!!). I kinda looked at it as an investment. Its titanium gear, coreless, has an integrated heat sink, and is basically already water proof. This thing is bulletproof, and if I want to move up to 2.2, it wont be an issue at all. Ive only used my SCX10 twice now, both indoors, but the steering torque matters, A LOT. I got it through a lot of places I know it wouldnt have gone without that torque. |

Airtronics 94851. 206oz torque at 6v, forget exact speed stat but it's good enoug for an Scx, metal gears, digital and $43. I use it in my Scx and with 6oz additional weight in each front tire it has no problem turning those wheels. It's also precise and does a good job holding it's position.
