Default is my battery dead

as in title i recently let a mate borrow my batteries and did not realise he did not have a lipo cut off esc.

now when i charge the battery he used it will not peak

1 sell is reading 3.705 while cell 2 is reading 4.212 does this mean that cell one is damaged and would i be able to recover it

this will at least one thing remind me not to lend out my batteries

thanks

Well they are above 3.0v per cell so that is good news. I would balance charge them to see if you can get them to match a little better in voltage.

Ian, try and run the battery in something for a little while then try and do a balance charge on it. If that doesnt work it looks like it might be bin fodder.

Best thing to do is to use an equalizer which will discharge the higher volt cells to match the lower one. Then balance charging it and be patient. If it doesn't equalize after a few cycles the battery is toast.

Another alternative you could try is to charge the bad cell through the balance port at a low current setting until it reaches full capacity then run the pack as normal and try to balance charge again.

Dont run the pack to LVC, do a run of 25 - 50% of your normal run. Play it safe.
