Sensored is the way to go for crawling. You need a sensored brushless ESC though, although the newer Mamba Max's seem to work unsensored.
Keep in mind, the Novak sensored ESC's don't play well with other brand sensored motors.

10.5T is VERY fast for a crawler...17.5t or higher.

I have a MMP with Team Powers 13.5 sensored in my Wraith, I'll have the same setup in my 1.9 scale rig too. It has excellent low speed crawling abilities and can fly when needed. Gives quality run times(~30 minutes) on a 2200 3s pack.

My 6 year old can drive this setup buttery smooth at all speeds, if that means anything. Although he is a damn good driver.

That is my favorite combo as well. But I use a two speed trans with it.

Super fun on 4s

While a 10.5 is indeed fast, a 13.5 is excellent for most scalers. 17.5 is damn near painfully slow in a 1.9 rig.
