Default Steering Servo - Kit SCX10

Still trying to decide on a steering servo. From what I understand my ESC (Holmes Hobbies TorqueMaster BR-XL) has a built in BEC to 6.0 volts...correct? This would let me run basically any higher powered servo?

I dont need competition level, just basic. Im looking at the Hitec 645. Is this enough torque? Looks to be around 133 at 6.0.

The BEC on the BRXL is one of the best of any ESC. It will run 99% of the hi-torque servos without too much stress, a 645mg wouldn't even give it a mild sweat.

As for the servo itself i find 645's a bit weak, have a look at something with at least 200oz@6v. You can never have too much steering torque...Well you can, but that's another story.

As WIDELOAD stated, the BRXL will handle most servos you will likely use.
I also agree that 200oz is a MINIMUM you should be looking for in a steering servo.
Something along the line of a HiTec 7955TG or similar.
