A 4ch would be fine for independent rear steer and winch control. You can get away with a 3ch if you ran the rear steer full-time and used the third channel for the winch control.

Thank´s for the answer, Mad.

But how can I use these setup in a 3ch radio? I have a Futaba 3PJS that I use in an other car that I have.

All you need is a Y-Harness for the servos. Basically, it just splits the signal into two outputs, and sends it to each servo. It will be full time, though - when the front servos turns, so will the rear. And you need to make sure you've got it setup so they turn the proper way, so your truck dosen't "crabwalk" to the side. Search around for some info, I'll try digging up a thread about it.

Edit: Try reading this one. I dug it up quick, and there is probably a better thread out there somewhere, but this might help you a bit - Link

I use an old crappy Tower Hobbies 4ch stick radio. I like having independent proportional control of the rear steer. You just have to get used to the sticks like andrew said

I´ll try first use my 3ch radio instead of buying a 4ch radio, if these work well I´ll stay using my 3ch radio and with the money buy the moabs tires with the beadlock wheels.

only down side to using a 3 channel for rear steering is pushing buttons to use it the if you do get a 4 channel look at tower hobbies brand one its cheap and is made by futaba so it will work good

I have a Gecko, went on a crawl today with my 3ch futaba but i want to go to stick radio so i can control the rear wheels with them being on a slave channel. Can you use the same recievers or do you need to buy aircraft ones?

Also is the futaba 4exa a good choice. Because you can set the ATV and EPA with it?

radio brand and options are up to the person and on the reciever just use whatever comes with the radio just go with any 2 stick 4 channel you like and can afford and a lil tip a neck strap is worth the money a 4 channel gets heavy over time
