Default tekin rs brushless combo

i am running a tekin rs with a 13.5 combo in my wraith.

the thing i am having problems with is that its faster in reverse than forward.

what do i need to do to reverse this

i have looked at the instructions and they dont really help do i need to just change the wires configoration or is it do-able from my laptop

at the moment i have a-a b-b c-c

i hope this explains the issue

cheers

Have you tried reversing your throttle channel or reversing the motor direction on the ESC?

Hook it upto hotwire and reverse your motor. If you are running sensored you can't swap wires to put the motor 180 out of phase to reverse it. If you can't hotwire it you need to flip your diffs which will fix your problem.

used my rear wraith axles for ease of access.

Remove tires, hexes, drive pins.

Pull setscrews and lockouts

Remove diff cover

Pull bearing caps

Remove diff

Replace diff

Look at the RS and pull a little bit of throttle. Which side do the LEDs start lighting up from? MODE button side or INCR side? It sounds like it hasn't been calibrated properly.

i have done that and it lights up from the incr side for forward and mode side for reverse

i have re-calibrated it and the only way i can get it to set is by pushing my throttle to what i would use as brake/reverse away from me as if i hold the throttle in position i.e trigger towards myself it wont bind

cheers

I have the rs/ redline 17.5t sensored combo. The dragbreak setting is definitely setup for racing with much higher geared machines. I ended up turning mine off yet still end up on my lid if I don't ease off the gas.

Check your throttle deadband. Set too low and your esc won't arm.

That's backwards. Depending on your radio you need to reverse the throttle channel then re-calibrate. The LEDs should light up from the MODE side when you go forward. This is normal for Futaba/KO Radios.

right just tried it again it pairs fine but puts my trigger the wrong way round so it looks like flipping the diffs round is my answer.

thankas again

Or if you have a HotWire you can reverse the direction and keep it sensored. But flipping the diffs looks pretty easy on this rig! I don't have one yet

If you want a basher or trail rig it is awesome. In tight spaces she takes on a " Bertha " attitude. Needs to be modded a bit to make it crawl worthy. Just my .02

Glad to help. I had the same problem with the same setup. It turned out an easier fix than I thought it would be. If only axial would build axles like those for the ax/scx10.
