| Banana Plugs
Quick question, just got my Lipo's today and they use banana plugs. Are these absolute garbage, or can I use them safely? If I need to switch to another plug, how do I go about it without cutting the wires, if thats possible? Also, the Thunder AC6 did not include a Deans charging connection. Where can I find one if I switch over to deans plugs? |

I would go with Deans plugs. Easier to deal with. Check the links below http://www.cheapbatterypacks.com/Cus...er.aspx?mid=22 http://www.cheapbatterypacks.com/Pro...ans-Plugs.aspx |

Can I remove the banana plugs from the lipo without cutting the wire? Id like to keep the wires as long as possible.

He must mean bullets. Just cut them as close as you can. At most you will lose an 1/8" which isn't going to affect anything.

add deans that way you do not accidently reverse the polarity. you can probaly even unsolder the plugs and resolder the wire to a deans plug losing zero length. |

AC6 doesn't come with deans. Cut one of the other adapters and solder on the deans. I cut the tamiya adapter.

At first I thought you were referring to the tubes in the battery but I'm sure that you mean the bullet connectors on the battery like from Hobbyking. I actually like them on my 5S packs they are 5mm and in housings that prevent incorrect plug polarity. I just made a bullet to deans adapter to use with my charger. You can cut the bullets off the battery and replace them with a connector of your choice. |

I guess they are just bullets then. Im more familiar with the bullet types on motors, these were different looking to me. Batteries should receive the female deans plug correct? |

If this is what you have, I would change them to Deans or some other better connection. Put the "female end" on the ESC so they are different from the battery connection & you don't mix them up! | |
