Either is good. The Holmes is a crawler specific ESC whereas the FXR is a very good racing style ESC that can be used for crawling (I have two in a MOA and one in a AX-10).

Ok and what is BEC? the tekin fxr only has 6 volts and 3 amps whereas the brxl has 6 volts and 5 amps is that better to have more amps?

For a scaler I would go with the BR-XL. Its got a better BEC, you can get it in a waterproof version and you will be supporting a great vendor on our site. Also it will handle up to 6s I believe where the FXR is only supposed to go up to 3s.

Ok and do I have to buy that castle pc link to program or not?

Since you have plenty of room to mount an Esc the larger BR XL is the good choice. The Fxr is a good choice if you have limited space.

As far as the BEC goes the 5 amp BEC on the BR XL makes a huge difference, the Esc can actually supply enough power to a digital servo without having to run an external BEC.
