Dual BR-XL Diagram?
 

Can someone post up a diagram for wiring and programming dual BR-XL's?

I found a post where someone said program one at a time, and another where someone said the batt can only be powering the one you are programming, but not how after you wire them together.

The instructions say pull both power wires when programming. I personally just programmed them one at a time in their channels and unplugged the other one. I have ran them this way in my XR10 since they where released with no issues besides user error. Where most mess up is getting the radio zeroed out for the throttle end points to arm the esc. On my 4pk I ended up having to set the throttle +10 on the epa to get mine to bind. As for programming I havent played with it much besides holmes hold which with Eddie's 45t it dont move lol. I love the esc's and personally haven't ran a bec and done what everyone says not to and powered the receiver with both esc's which might be why my servo works the same as if I added a bec. I wired mine as follows.
Combine the red battery wires from both ESCs and the BEC. Then do the same with the black battery wires. Then add a connector to those combined wires.
Then decide which esc is front and which is rear. The rear will get it's motor wires swapped. Meaning the black wire from the rear motor goes to the white wire and the red wire from the rear motor goes to the black wire. The front motor is a straight match red to red and black to black. That should do it.
I programmed mine one at a time. I saved the first setting to my computer then just loaded that pre-set to the second esc. That should do it. Hope this isn't too confusing.

First picture will be your best bet.
Top ESC is Front motor and Bottom ESC is Rear motor and had the battery leads/BEC on it (to the right)

You'll need to calibrate and program each ESC separately. Hince the bullet plugs.

I had to make a little connector with male bullet plugs and male deans for power while calibrating, programming the top ESC (Front motor). I also used servo crimping pilers to shorten all the servo plug leads up.

Very Nice! I finally figured it out. I too removed the ESCs from the cases, but I was afraid to pull off the heat sinks. Instead, I flipped them toward each other and meshed them together to make the package smaller.

Did you just pull them off?

Lacking heat shrink big enough, I just wrapped the combo in electrical tape 8).

I know these things are overkill, but I'm loving them in a 2.2. Great brakes!

Is there a way to smooth out start up? At very low throttle input, I get an off/on type movement.

I'm curious too how to get the heat sinks off.

I always had great start up with mine...even without running a custom TH curve...
are you running a futaba TX? or spektrum?

Futaba. And the motors are 45turn blitz.

They pop off with a small flat head.
I'm not having any startup issues but I'm running a 4PK, dual BRXls, 16t Crawlmasters with 12t pinions on my berg.

Same here on the Berg, radio and pinions... just different motors.

Maybe it's time for some new ones (or time to put mine in a lathe)

Oh I thought this was for the XR. Yeah you might need to freshen up those comms.

I would bet that is the issue........time to turn the comm and some new brushes. I turned Mini's at Nationals and the hum from the holmes hold severly lessened and the startup was smooth.........
