| micro sidwinder-can it handle it
Ok,I have seen guys pushing a 35t on 3s with a micro sidwinder, amd heard of 30t but just hearsay. Ans thats comp time, like 5-7 minutes. I'm thnking of putting the micro in my scaler matshed up to a 30t motor,or a 14t puller. Long runs, like 30 min- 1hr scaler runs on 3s.....think the little esc can handle it. |

Try it out. I ran 2 micro sidewinders with 2 35t handwunds and 3s in my berg for about 4 months earlier in the year with no problems. I think Del Monte runs them on his super.

I'm thinking about it,east tx is putting on what sounds like a awesome scale event...approx 100 gates on over 3 acres.I dont want to fry my esc mid course....but I have a xtra micro, and a 14t puller.....and I'm really hoping they make a good match.cuz though the brushless system in it now is fast as hell....I really get frustrated with the drag brake letting loose. | |

Big size 14 turn Puller, or small size 14 turn Puller? The big one needs some voltage to make it kick ass, in my opinion. More than that little controller can handle. The little 14 turn Puller only needs a 2S lipo battery, so that's no sweat. |

I let the smoke out of a mamba 25 with a 14t small puller motor. Didnt take long at all for it to happen. Dont remember if it was 2 or 3s, but a bec was used for sure.

I run a pair of Micro Mamba Pros with a pair of 16T mini cobalt pullers on my Bully Comp truck on 3S....and they are holding up GREAT. The trick to this is that you MUST run a BEC. For a while I ran a Micro 25 with a decent sized outrunner on 3S....it ran fine as long as the BEC was there. I see no reason why you could not run the 14T on 2S or 3S on a Micro Pro (I believe that Holmes recommends 2s for that motor).....as long as you run a BEC. The Micro Pro can handle more amperage than the older Micro 25. I believe that the Micro 25 could handle 25 amps....while the Micro Pro can handle 35 amps. I really would not want to give up the setup in my MOA....it shaved a lot of weight while giving a lot of flexibility and power.

I wouldnt have any fear really for 5-7 min runs....its the long run times this truck will see that gives me pause,30-60 hard minutes.
