Cool In between a rock and a hard place!

I am going out my mind trying to figure this problem out. I love my axial scx tr. But my rooster ESC keeps acting up . The thing is I have a MMP system . Was wondering if this will be too much for the scx because if so I will trade for a Traxxas VXL system. Will that system be better for trail running and lite crawling. Need your help please. Want to drive my truck again!!!

im pretty sure the traxxas system dosent have a drag brake and is only rated for 2s ( if im wrong someone correct me ). you would be better off with a tekin FXR or a HH system

All I use is 2 cycle lipos anyway. But my money is funny and my truck is just sitting up. So will using my MMax pro be better off to use rather than the traxxas vxl brushless system?

As long as you have the MMP you might as well use it. You can use it with brushed or brushless motors and if you have the Castle Link then you can set the drag brake for crawler (a special setting you can set only with the link).

Do you mean a 2 cell pack? But yes you can use the MMP and set the LVC for a 2S.

No ESC you can buy will really do anything for you the MMP can't, the 7,700KV is way to fast and won't crawl smooth though. Run your current motor with the MMP.

so what you are saying is forget using that retarded powerful engine and just use the MMP ESC and it will be good for my brushed 20t engine?

You will really want to use a sensored brushless system if you plan on trying to control it at all at low speed. I tried a unsesored system in mine just to see how it was and it was horrible. 15min later I had my junk tekin 45t in it!

So even with my field link and tunning the MMP and cc brushless engine is a waste of time?

MMP with a 20t will do fine. You'll never get a 7700 smooth enough to crawl, for brushless you want a sensored motor in the 1,500-3,500 KV range.
