Default Motor and servo upgrades for my wraith

So I have a wraith and want to strip out the cheapy motor and servo and want some good ideas on what to run, firstly I live in a hot part of Australia with mainly fine dust and hardly ever wet, I want a good rock racer and crawler but would also like it to get up and boogy. I like the look of tekin stuff but it's not just about the looks. With all my research it's started to go all blurry. Id say I'd spend about 180 for the engine and esc combo and about a 100 for the servo. I'd be getting everything from the states as it's cheap for me at the mo as the dollar is ok. I'd also like to know where the best places are to buy from ie. Price and customer service. So if anyone could give me some good ideas I'd appreciate it.

For future reference it would be better to ask questions that are vehicle specific in the section for the particular truck.

You can check out this video, he talks about the mods he has done to get more speed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fuc94u7ftRs

And here is some video of it after the mods

He put in a MMP and Novak Ballistic 18.5 crawler motor in it. Anything in that range should work.

As far as servos, I would look into the hitec, futaba, or savox. Look for something that has a decent amount of torque 200-300 oz/in and a decent transit time ~.10 sec @60 deg. If you want to go fast you dont want to get a super slow servo.

Also plan on getting a CC BEC to power your servo, likely the internal BEC in the ESC wont like running the higher powered servos and you will end up with glitches.

If its really hot then having a fan on your ESC is a good idea. most of the higher end ESC's (MMP, R8, etc) have them already but keep it in mind.
