Default Reverse motor direction on MMP

Just got a MMP & 13.5 DTX sensored motor in my Wraith. I don't have a castle link yet. (thought all I needed was a USB for the Mamba, got a coupon for a free adapter though...) Can I swap the wires to switch motor direction?. I tried a dozen times to switch it on the Tx but no go, recalibrate to ESC...same thing pull trigger get reverse... I'm not sure if it is ok to swap the wires on a sensored motor or even a B/L for that matter?

As far as i'm aware you cant do that with a sensored motor because the hall effect sensor needs to be reversed as well (which you cant really do easily).

The only way to do it is through castle link/field link.

do you have a usb cable for a camera or another accessory? That's all it is..... just see if you have a USB cable laying around that will fit.

Older MM's use the USB port (I have 2 of them), I believe the newer ones use the same adaptor as the BEC to program.

I'm hoping to borrow a castle link and see if that fixes it, if not I will flip gears.

thanks for the link I tried searching for this, I knew I read that someone was having similar issues... I really hope I don't have the timing issues he had, I noticed reverse was much faster too...

If you have access to a "link" awesome! I have a relatively new MMP (about 9 months old) and purchased the CC link only to find out when it arrived it's the same USB cable as my camera just a little longer.

When I bought my Castle Link, yes, it came with a standard USB cable, but also a small board for programming newer CC ESC's as well as the CC BEC's.
Since my son & I have both CC ESC's & CC BEC's (multiples of each), the whole CL works for us.

Leave the center motor wire connected to the center Esc wire. Then swap the A and C wires to reverse motor direction. Have had no problems doing this with my MMP + Speed Passion motor combo.

Is it a sensored motor, and does it stay in sensored mode after this?

Yeah it's sensored, Speed Passion only makes sensored motors. Yes it stayed in Sensored mode.

With sensorless you can swap any 2 wires to reverse motor direction, with sensored the center wire has to be plugged in to the center Esc wire while the outside two wires can be swapped.

Yeah the cable is a standard USB to mini USB yet Castle doesn't exactly make that obvious when buying the Link itself. Then sells their cable for $10 which is a bit steep

There was a coupon in the MMP box for a free adapter, you supply your own USB cable.

I'm well aware of this, I have an MMP aand Castle Link. The trick is they give you the Link for free and don't tell you the cable is common and see if you'll buy one from them for $10 when it's a $2 cable.

I've seen usb cables at the dollar store... It was nice on the older Mamba's it had the port on the ESC, no adapter needed.
