| budget of $150. need 4ch
I'm looking for a remote pistol grip or not ( as long as it has the return spring). I need 4ch and I'm looking to only spend $150 (maybe alittle more if its really worth it) I know its not a big budget. And NO traxxas. I have 2 traxxas remotes and I used a buddies futaba and it makes the traxxas feel like junk. I also don't like how you have to set up the traxxas.

If you are dead set on a pistol grip, then go for either a Nomadio React or for a bit more, Futaba 4pl.

Cheap radio's feel like cheap radios. If you want the Futaba feel it's something you are going to have to spend the $200 on really.

i use an RC4WD XR-4 radio, love it! while it does have a little cheaper feel at only $90 its well worth it! it has a screen with lots of nice features and is super user friendly, as well it also has 1 model memory. http://store.rc4wd.com/RC4WD-XR4-4-C...ver_p_676.html and with the spare $60 you can get 2 more rx's Last edited by 2500hdon37s; 09-21-2011 at 11:11 AM. |

| I am almost sure Losi kid can hook you up with everything you need. And in my opinion the flysky is a great radio and for the price cannot be beat. However I am not used to the expensive radios I have ran tq3 radios on most of my Crawlers and compared to that 100% better.

You will be happiest with the 4pl I can guarantee. I own a flysky, it's alright for a loaner type deal, but I wouldn't buy another one. | |

I have quite a few radios at my house (Dx3r, 4pl, React, GT3B, DX6) and they all have a similar "feel" in quality. Sure some were less expensive than others, but that doesnt mean that they lack any quality.....

| The XR4 you can get about a 1/4 twist out of the top the radio vs the foot of the radio.

| +1 I'd like to know this too. Obviously the "regular" 3 channel Rx is dirt cheap, but what Rx would you use once you've done the 4-8 channel hack? Edit: Duh......found the answer in 30 seconds. get outta RC for a couple years, and you become a noob all over again....LOL.
