Old school Johnson silver can question.

So I have a pair of these things I plan to use for my clodbuster crawler I'm cobbling together, does anyone know offhand what the maximum amp draw for these things is?

it would all depend on the load they were put under, under a very heavy load the amp draw can skyrocket. why do you want to know? is it for a battery or speed controller selection?

Not sure on that particular motor but here's a generic 540.

You probably have a stall current in the 40-50 amp range (45 for motor shown). Load, circuit resistance, battery capability, etc can all effect the draw.

Cool beans, that's exactly what I was looking for. I was checking to see if the Velenion system from my stampede 4x4 would handle two silver cans in parrallel. That esc with either a pair of 3300 mah nimh run in parrallel or one of my 5000 mah 2s 35c lipo's should run my crawler just fine.
