yes it has an internal BEC, do you need an external BEC? yes you do. castles BEC's are notorius for being underpowered, and in a micro SW you want to get rid of the heat using the internal one generates, the micro SW has no heatsinks or anything of the sort, I have 2 in my XR10 and they barely ever get warm, in general ALL CRAWLERS NEED EXTERNAL BEC's! (with a couple exceptions, BRXL for example) edit: shit I should have fully read, I don't know if an external BEC will be needed in a MRC what servo are you going to be using? that will probably be the deciding factor, stock or similar smaller servo should be fine, higher powered or 1/10 scale servo's i'd probbaly run a BEC. even just a cheapo hobbywing/hobbyking $4 BEC, i've got a few of them and they are AWESOME for the money. a bec is best in a regular servo......but I know the populare futaba will, unless you wire it direct to the battery its not rated for 2s but it will take it...if the servo is a hv servo, and your runing 2s,just wire it direct for sure...less weight and clutter from a bec. |

I'm Prolly going to run One, The Servo I bought (wish i hadn't) Is a Losi Msx Digital High Torque 1/10 Servo part # LOSBO819 I also bought a 1/18 Losi MS20DS mini Servo Just cuz it was like 99 cents on Ebay and it's new so figured Hell wouldn't hurt to have a Backup. The reason Im going to run the Gens Ace 20C 1300mAH lipo is becasue it's Brand new, I had bought it for my Ax10 But sold that POS and didnt get a chance to use the battery. |

| Is it a contraband or new black market from rock hard? If it is a new black market...I'm sure you have already read this thread, but he recommends 45C batteries (looks like the motor is power hungry, which may increase the need of a BEC). I'm not sure of the C rating recommendation for the contraband motor.

A CC 10A BEC is what most of us run. You usually have to buy the Castle Link seperate. The good part is you can use it on the BEC & the ESC as well.
