| Mamba Max Pro help.
I'm sure its been covered somewhere but I didn't find anything like what I'm I'm seeing so I'll just ask. I just a got a used Wraith with a MMP/13.5 sensored. I didn't really see a seperate on/off for the lights. So the lights are on all the time. If I give full throttle it starts cutting in and out. Also alot of the time it will stop completely and I lose steering too. All I have to do is bump it with my foot and kicks back into action. What is going on?

You'll probably have to unplug the lights from the RX. Sounds like you need a Castle BEC. |

If you want to be able to turn the light on via the Tx, you will need a remote switch from Heyok. Remote Switch For LED Lighting As for the cutting out, it sounds like you may need a bec... | |

As mentioned, you need a CC 10A BEC. When it dies on you, check the lights on the ESC and/or RX, they are likely out/dim. This is called a "brownout" and can be best solved by running a BEC (most of us wire it direct to the servo). Also watch your battery "C" rating. If you run a small (500mah or so) pack, you will need a high "C" rating. If you run a large (3000mah or so) pack, you can get away with a lower "C" rating since the capacity (mah) sorta covers you. Low "C" ~= 20C, high "C" ~= 35C. |

The battery is a Turnigy 2S 5200 30-40C. I do have a some kind of little cheap BEC I think. It basically looks like a capacitor that plugs into the rx. Is that something that would help or do I need the Castle specific one?

Let us know the "BEC" you have , then most of us will comment. A "cap" is not really what you need, but we need to know more before rendering a decision.....(at least, I need to know more......) |

Tried the little capacitor I had and pulled the lights. It works quite abit better but still alittle glitching so I'll just order the Castle bec. Thanks for the help.

If your capacitor looking thing that plugs into the receiver looks like the link below, then its a voltage protector and not a BEC. Spektrum Voltage Protector (SPM1600): Spektrum - The Leader in Spread Spectrum Technology It might help small brownouts, but I think you will still need an external BEC. |
