OK guys, Ive gone through a couple different aluminum and plastic servo horns and wanted to get your opinion on which horns you have had the best luck with?

All advice and opinions would be great! TY

I like the clamping type servo arms, they are pricey but worth it.

I started using servo horns from SpotonRC.com. They look to be made for aircraft, but have an awesome look. They're also lighter due to the triangulation and thinner arm. So far no issues. They are almost snug enough to not even need the clamp.

There are a lot of "ok" one out there. If you want the undisputed best one you can get your hands on go for the Robitronics clamping ones. You wont find a horn on the market that is stronger or clamps harder. Racers edge would be a close second but still not as beefy.

Any of the clamping aluminum ones should work well. I have used both Robitronics and Racers Edge without a failure.

has anyone tried the AirWild Hobbies MLP arms. i got one buy accident and wouldn't work at the time because they're backwards but it fits my XR10 perfect, by moving the arm closer to the axle so it sticks out less.

Robitronics is the only horn I have not managed to destroy within a couple packs. Mine is getting tired now, but has about 100 hours on it.

Another vote for the Robitronics horns. Running one on my AX and SCX and they are very beefy! I won't even consider another horn for a crawler application.

I drive my 2.2 rig like I stole it, and got tired of replacing Robitronic arms. The clamping screws they use strip out before they are tight enough to do any good. I switched to IMEX arms, and so far the only time one failed me was because I was afraid I'd strip the screws out like on the Robitronics, so I didn't have them tight enough. Put a new one on, tightened the #@$# out of it, and have had no problems since. They hit you pretty hard on shipping, so it's best to order 2 or more at a time. Edit: Racers Edge are also good arms, as mentioned above, and I run them on my minis. The reason I don't run Racers Edge on my 2.2 is I haven't found a clamping one as long as the IMEX, and the way my Bully steering is set up, I need the extra length.

I use Racers edge clampable or Robitronic arms and had great luck with durability. But obviously some people have better luck than others with products.

AGREED i scored one on e bizzo for 5+1 shipping they are beefy... i was very impressed and im running the jr 9100hvt and it will move the whole back of the truck in a bind and no problems... what servo you got?

I have had renoirbuds servo horn on my comp crawler for quite a while. I'm running a hitec 7980 servo. I get the truck in some bad spots and use the servo to lift the truck and move rocks. So far I havnt even bent or stripped a tooth in the servo horn. If you havnt tried one go for it they are $10 including shipping and look about like the robotronics

mine is a Racers Edge I got from RPP. No problems with it so far, its running on a 7950th.
