Default Possible binding issue stock Honcho????

I am kind of dumb-founded ( easy to do) on a issue I am having on a stock honcho with the 2.4 radio.

The Problem:

While in a position to cause a little pressure on the sytem, as in a small incline or obstacle, the truck freezes, wont go forward or backwards, and then the servo starts to glitch back and forth. The only way to get the truck to go again is to shut off the reciever and transmitter and then only that works some of the time. I have not made any changes to the system from factory settings except I changed the voltage cut off to the off position through the castle link. this problem happened before and after I changed that. I have a radio shack 7.4 battery and it is brand new. My thoughts were that it was a binding issue but I rebinded and it still happens.

My thoughts on the issue:

-Maybe a bad battery so I should switch to lipo-(going to anyways in the future)

-The stock bec is bad and the lights are sucking to much power away from the esc/reciever

-The reciever is bad and needs a new one-(going to swap in a new reciever and radio to see it that is the issue)

Any thoughts from the gurus?

Thanks for the help.

An external BEC may help.

Does the lights on the ESC and/or the RX dim/go off when this happens?

Have you tried other packs?

That is what I am thinking but thought that the stock one would be fine. Tryint to keep the cost down since I bought it for my brother.

No they look to be at full power.

Have you tried other packs?
No, I only have the one battery for now

I would contact axial, seems some of the radios have issues...That may be what you are experiencing. I assume that you dont have another radio to swap in it just to try and figure out what is causing the problems?

It could also be that you need a BEC, do you find that it happens when you are moving the steering or just going straight?

I do and am going to try that later this week.

Your the second person who has said that but it has a stock BEC on it. I believe it happens when I am turning now that I think about it. I was thinking the stock BEC was sufficient but I guess not.
Thanks for the ideas.
