What is so special about a Spektrum DX3E? I see them everywhere and I want to know what is amazing about them. I might want to get one myself. But I was just wondering.

For a bit more, I'd look at a dx3c. Few more beneficial features than the E and multi model I believe.

The DX3E is a great budget 3ch 2.4ghz radio. The only thing that takes some adjusting to is the location of the 3rd channel switch, but that really isn't all that bad once you get used to it. Unless you need multiple model memory, I can't think of a reason not to get one - I actually have 2 (one has the wantasummit hack for dual esc control and momentary dig) |

Ones on my list. You get a 3ch decent radio with epas on all channels and a 2pos, 3pos and lin option for the 3rd ch and its very simple and basic. With the transmiter and reciever you also get a servo, cheap but good for dig and all for $100 or under . I don't think you can get a better deal for a stock radio system. The dx3c is the step up with the 20 model memory and screen but its $30.

The other thing the DX3E has going for it is comfort. For the price, it can't be beat. My daughter uses one for her Stampede and loves it. I used a dual-esc hacked one when I had my XR10 and it was great. It is now getting a rear-steer upgrade for my other daughter's crawler king. It is nice having a TX that can take some punishment on the rocks or trail because there is no screen. It makes a great "loaner" or "friend" TX as well.

I really urge people to skip the E and go for the C. A display menu over dials is worth it alone. Chase the trim dials all the time on my E. Gets old and annoying. Not to mention precise end point adjustment.

| I'll have to pick up a C sometime and see what can be done to it. My situation may be different than most, but I like to have one TX per vehicle. This way when family and friends are around, everyone can just choose one and we all go out for some fun.
