it looks like a sidewinder but that means nothing since both the hh brxl, hpi flux, and axial ae2 look the same. specs wise it has the same max input voltage but can only handle up to 4200kv on 2s where the sidewinder v1 can do a 5700kv. have you hooked it up to a castle link to see if it can run brushed, set for crawler reverse, and the drag break can be set up high for crawler use?

Just hooking it up to castlelink will tell the whole story. My lhs was trying to get me to buy the combo, I was most interested in the sensored motor.

Let us know what castlelink says.

It works with the castle stuff and can used the program card. It has all the normal features we are use dto with the castle stuff for the most part. It isn't sensored though it is a sensorless system like the sidewinders

Hmm maybe there's an mmp clone too? I didn't see the combo my lhs was talkin about. Maybe 2 combs similar to the sct sidewinder/1410 and mmp/1415 combos

there isnt a duratrax version clone of the mmp but there is one from hpi. its the hpi q-base from castle. its used in their savage flux 2350, but since its from hpi its likely more expensive than buying an actual mmp.
