| Radio??
Been reading many post about Spektrum, DX3E, DX3C & FlySky FS-GT3B. The GT3B looks hard to beat for the money. I also like the sound of DX3C especially for the SD card slot for updrades. My question is. How well does the GT3B operate without the hacks. After hacks your looking about 100 bucks. I'm just looking for 3 channel radio. No dig set up no dual stering. Building SCX10 scaler, with Tekin FXR ESC 35T HW combo. + Winch. No battery yet.. Last edited by BrianP; 10-17-2011 at 12:34 AM. |

I have two GT3B's and they operate fine without the hacks, It sounds like you just need an unhacked radio for your application anyways. From losikid the hack kit is only $25 so a $25 hack kit plus $35 radio is much less than the $100 you are quoting.

I thought I saw somewhere that Losikid had a $70 hack kit. I was going by that. I fugured 30 bucks for radio plus kit. Thats cool the radio works good without hacks. For that money can't be beat. |

I haven't used that radio, but I will bring out a point. I bought a Futaba 3PM-x (3 channel 2.4ghz) because at the time I thought, "I have absolutely NO need for more than 3 channels." Then my son built me a 2.2 MOA with servo dig. Later I changed to a WantAmix to do things a 4 channel could do better/easier. So, think about down the road, get a radio that you think will do a little more than you need now so you buy a radio once, not twice. |
