Default Motors and batteries - roommates?

I know MOA rigs can run with batteries on the axle, but I'm wondering if there'd be any issue with the motor right next to the battery, say within 1/4"?

I use single cell lipos as my motor skids on my MOA. Everything seems to be fine.

Can you crawl up negative vert with the lipos as rockets?
