| Savage XS Flux maybe bad ESC???? HELP!!!
Hey guys, Not sure if this is the right place but I recently bought a Savage XS Flux overall an awesome truck, but I only ran two packs through it , go to run it again and I can only steer so I`m assuming its a bad ESC....Not really sure fairly new to RC any help is appreciated!! Thanks |

Have you checked all the solder points on the motor wires?

Time to invest in a volt meter... Make sure you are getting power to the motor from the ESC. Also what batteries are you using?

Did you try to recalibrate the ESC to the RX? It's an easy thing to try and costs nothing. If you don't have one, get a digital voltmeter (AKA DVM) to check voltages. Radio Shack has some nice ones that are small and cost ~$20. |

even a el-cheapo DVM from Harbor Freight is OK, I keep one in my tool box. My good DVM stays @ home in the shop. Anything is better than nothing... |

I had the same thing happen to me. Power to the wheels but not the motor. I remember my buddy saying a while back that the switches go bad and so i cut the switch off left about 1/4" of the wire, stripped the two pig tailed them soldered them and now what that did was jump the switch, so when the esc makes contact with the lipos it will turn on and to turn it off unplugg the lipos. |
