1-What rig is this in?
2-Is this a "for fun" rig or do you comp?
3-If you comp, what class do you run in?

I highly doubt you will burn up a HH (or Br00d) motor, unless you waaaaaaaay over gear it.

Sorry I didn't see this thread earlier. I've been using the Disruptor (compact) tranny/gru and t.case for some time in a 9.5 lb + scaler with Axial axles (used all gear ratios - stock, od/od, od/ud, ud/ud). I've used brushed motors on 2cell lipo from 70t lathe down to a 30t Brood. This drivetrain is simple, tough as nails, and good looking. And unstopably torquey. And SLOW as SHIT!
You'll never win a hillclimb. Your Mudslingers won't sling any mud. But you'll have an unstoppable tank, with some well-placed weight. The 30t was the fastest yet (obviously) but still laughably slow. Slowest scaler in my club, hands down. I tried the "od" Disruptor t.case and it sucked balls. It WAS about 3 times faster on flat ground, but with the 70t motor it couldn't climb up onto a red brick. Pathetic.

For a heavy rig that doesn't need any real wheelspeed, I like it. If you wanna run with the Honchos, this tranny is NOT for you.
