Motor combo for LCC axle

hey guys....

I am trying to build a scale rig by using LCC axle and trans.
and I noticed that I have to run with brushless motor, otherwise the wheel speed is very slow!!

now I have Mamba Max Pro ESC, but can anyone give me some suggestion that which brushless motor I should go with ?

Also, I am new with those brushless motor, so could anyone tell me what the Sensored Motor means??

thanks a lot

If you're going for scale, then I'd run a 13.5 sensored motor on 3s and gear it to about 70 or 80:1 FDR
That seems to be a good compromise of wheelspeed and crawling

Sensored mean that the esc use feedback send from the motor sensor thrue the sensor cable so the esc know wich fase to fire. Sensored are smoother than sensored. If you want a top notch motor check out ''Team ptiyo". (the can may be too open for scale use)

17.5 or 18.5 on 6s will do you nicely. I wouldn't even consider running less than 4s in a Losi scaler.

thanks guys.....

MMP can handle up to 6S lipo, but I could break some links or driveshaft, right..hahaha. it seems super big power if I go with 6s Lipo.

by the way,
any other brand of motor do u guys run with??

but I know some of the motor are really expensive:cry:

Are you running this combo with a sensored motor? I've thought about it but was afraid the motor would'nt handle it.
I've heard rumor the Hall sensors in particular can't handle that much voltage. What brand 17.5 you useing?8)

BTW, I've got a MM and a MMP, 6s and a Novak 21.5 and 17.5 ready to go... just wondering if its time to pull that trigger!

Had a LNC setup with Novak 18.5, 14mm rotor for over a year on 6s. Only thing that breaks is three dollar tranny gears every once in a while, plastic hexes and wheels didn't last long either. LCC trans and driveshafts might not be as strong as LNC though.

Those motors look interesting, Any info about them, all i found was a price tag that is ALOT more than what i have into my tekin motor and super torque rotor for it.

I'm all fine spending money of good electronics, just theres no info on why its good.

Those are handmade brushless motor. First he started modifiying brushless motor a few year ago, know he's making his own motor. Sound's expensive but worth it IMO.
