Default Mrc Pro Power...

I,m looking for a motor combo for my MRC Pro Roller I have on order.

Mongoose 1/18 Crawler Mine BL system 18.5t: mrc

3 Different models of the CC SW:
Castle Creation SW 1/18 Micro CMS8000KV, CMS6800KV & CMS5400KV BL ESC Motor Combo

LOSI 1/18 XCELORIN BRUSHLESS MOTOR & ESC COMBO

All Between $87 to $96
Are all these equal , is one better than others?

Out of your choices I would go with the mongoose or the XCELORIN.
The CC motors aren't good for crawling.

If this is for strickly crawling you should concider getting
the CC Sidewinder Micro and the Team Brood Anarchy Motor.

Agreed!

However, as Robotoboy mentioned, these little brushed motors arent great for bashing and running pack after pack through....they tend to get hot.....but they are the absolute BEST setup for crawling!

I plan on using for crawling only.
I am working on scaler for bashing and trails.
What turn motor would you recommend for the Team Brody Anchor Motor?

I would say the 19T works best....however, I would recommend contacting EddieO and giving him information about your setup....as the builder of those motors, he can certainly give you the best advice on which motor.

Get the mongoose....it's way better then any brushed motor I have run on my mini..
I went from mongoose to brushed and hated it....ended up going back to a mongoose...I love the set up..but the wiring is kinda big and bulky...but it works awesome!

Man....you guys must have better luck with those systems. My mongoose system is still sitting in a melted heap of electronics....just like it was when it decided to crap out on course at our state finals a few years ago....

Ouch.....what went wrong? I've been running brushed motors in my MRC for quite some time now with good luck. Although recently, I've had a string of bad luck with my front diff gears....

I'm not real sure what went wrong...?...I could not find any real problems...mongoose is nice for wheel speed too...my 18.5t mongoose on 2s was faster then my brushed 17t on 3s....
And this one surprised me a lot...my mongoose has a smoother start up compared to my brushed set up too, witch I found weird since most people say brushless has a jumpy start..

But alot of things I'm finding lately is everybody has different expectations with their rigs...one thing I really love about my combo might be the same thing another guy hates!

Agreed!

I found the opposite of what you mention....brushed had smoother startup, better drag and more wheelspeed (on 2S).....maybe something was wrong with your motor or gearing...

I dunno.....what was it that Sly Stone used to say? Oh yeah, "Different strokes for different folks"...

A cheaper alternative is the Losi Rx-280 motor $15 and surprisingly good when mated to a CC micro sidewinder.

I was going to run RX for a little while just to get a feel for my MRC before stepping up to a good handwound like Brood, but I'm plenty happy with the RX's performance.
