Default RC4WD transmitter/receiver?

I'm thinking about getting an RC4WD transmitter/receiver system, the XR4 or XR3. Can anyone tell me if these are any good or not?

I have an XR4 and love it! it does everything I need to do with, but the the feel in your hand it feels like a lower end radio but IMO its pretty good bang for the buck.

I would go with yh xr4 over the xr3 because of there the 3rd channel is located on both radios.

there are much better radios out there with a few more features but some dont have the multi-model memory or they cost a good bit more.

I also have the XR4. I got it mostly to use with my scaler (3rd ch winch 4th ch two speed tranny). I am also using it with my XR10 (4th ch dig). Works great with both vehicles. Only two things i wish were different. 1- EPA on 3rd and 4th ch. 2- momentary switch for ch 3, just personal preference for winch use.

I picked up two of the XR4's and loved them..but like the rest the end points just werent there in channel 3 and 4. Tom at RC4WD is really cool to deal with. I had a problem and he fixed me right up.

I now am trying out the GT3B with the hack from LosiKid.
